Land Of Farmer

According Article 33 of the 1945 Indonesia Constitution and the Basic Indonesia Agrarian Law No. 5 of 1960 said that "The Land in Indonesia belong to the state of Indonesia and used for the prosperity of the people as much as possible". On the field it's not what happen, most of the land especially for farming land was controlled by giant cooperations of the Government and Non Government for the sake to the benefit of few people. After the reformation revolution in 1998 farmers in Indonesia have their eyes open that the land at their home was not given to them to prosper, and their fight for the ownership of the land began. This is like "Mountain Ice" phenomenon and the tension come when riots in Medan-Sumatera between farmer and the police during the demonstration at Medan. The fight from the farmer also happen in Soreang-Bandung, Gunung Kidul-Jogjakarta, East Java for one purpose : "Give back to the farmer for their right to farm on their own land". The fight of the farmer with their demonstration and negotiation continue, some of the farmers even go to Jakarta by foot walk like those from Blitar-East Java demanding the right for their Land. It is ironic, the farmer with their strong muscles seems helpless facing the situation, but they are not giving up, they still fight for their right to have their land.
